The Alan Feinstein Challenge

March & April Contribution Drive

Rhode Island philanthropist Alan Shawn Feinstein has once again generously offered to contribute to The Shepherd's Pantry.  As he did last year, his contribution is based entirely upon contributions that come to the Pantry from private community sources. His method of contribution is simple:  The more we collect; the more he gives us.  For the past 7 years, Mr. Feinstein has given $1 million dollars a year to anti-hunger agencies across the country.  This contribution is good during the months of March and April, so the sooner we get started, the more of Mr. Feinstein's money we get to share.

In his own words, Mr Feinstein says: "Whatever you donate to this agency, I will add some of my money right on to yours.  The more of a donation you make, the more of my $1 million they'll get....  Please give generously to this appeal and I will gladly add some of my money to yours.   My $1 million will be divided proportionately among all agencies receiving donations toward my challenge..........   Thank you for sharing my heart, and the hope that - someday - no one will ever go hungry."
